Introducing Silverback Hospitality: The Operating Partner Behind Atlanta’s Most Ambitious Brands
The founder keeps the brand. We bring the engine. Here is what that means, and why we built it.
Randall Frazier, Founder of Silverback Hospitality. Atlanta-built. Built to scale.
Every city has brands it loves. Atlanta has more than most. The popsicle cart that became a summer ritual. The bitters bottled a few miles from the bars that pour them. The brewery whose cans show up at every backyard cookout. The crowd is already there and the demand is already real.
Then the call comes. A stadium wants the brand on its concourse. A hospital system asks about wholesale. A campus wants it in the dining program. And the brand faces a problem its founders never signed up for: serving an institution without breaking the thing that made the brand beloved.
Those opportunities are why Silverback Hospitality exists.
What is Silverback Hospitality?
Silverback Hospitality is a multi-brand hospitality operating partner based in Atlanta. We invest in proven, Atlanta-born food and beverage brands and operate alongside their founders, bringing the financial discipline, capital, and distribution those brands need to perform at institutional scale.
An operating partner is exactly what it sounds like. Not a franchise operator collecting fees. Not a passive investor watching from a distance. A partner who does the operating: staffing, supply, compliance, reporting, and the daily discipline institutional buyers require.
We scale the brand without absorbing it. The founder keeps the brand. We bring the engine.
Your brand, our infrastructure. That is the whole idea.
Why Silverback exists
Silverback was founded by Randall Frazier, who spent more than 25 years in accounting, operations, and financial management before he ever ran a brand. He started in banking, underwrote and managed major credit portfolios for national lenders, led finance for Atlanta organizations as finance director and CFO, and along the way strategically invested in promising early-stage businesses to help them reach their potential. Since 2018 he has advised owners, executive teams, and boards through RGF Management, his consulting practice. He holds a BA in Finance from Morehouse College.
The idea for Silverback arrived the way the best ones do: on the ground. In 2024, the opportunity came for Randall to take the lead and put a career of institutional finance and operations to work in a live operation elevating the King of Pops brand at Truist Park and serving stadium crowds. The operation held its standard and grew, and lessons learned became a company: Atlanta's proven brands can perform in the biggest rooms when the right operating discipline stands behind them. Silverback Hospitality was founded to be that partner.
Growing brands are usually offered a hard trade: sell to reach the next tier, or stay independent and stay small. Randall built Silverback as the third option.
“I stepped in, bet on myself, and learned that discipline travels. That is what Silverback brings to every brand we partner with: the operating strength to grow to your full potential without giving up who you are.”
Three essentials, one partner
Discipline. CFO-grade operations. Clean books, tight systems, and reporting that stands up to institutional diligence.
Capital. Investment aligned with the operator and the brand’s long game. Fuel for the next tier, structured so everybody wins.
Distribution. The channels that matter across the Southeast: venues, healthcare systems, and campuses.
Plenty of partners offer one of the three. Silverback brings them all, because a growing brand needs all three at once to scale without breaking.
Who Silverback serves
For venues and stadiums, peak volume is the whole test. Silverback brands arrive staffed, stocked, and systemized to hold when the gates open. More on how that works in our piece on winning stadium concessions.
For healthcare and hospitals, the review is rigorous because it has to be. We arrive documentation-first, prepared to your standard, and built to pass diligence the first time.
For higher education, we are the option between national contractors and what campuses actually want: local brands with real followings, held to institutional standards all semester.
The portfolio
The model is already in the market with three Atlanta-born brands. King of Pops, the Southeast’s beloved popsicle brand, from street corners to stadiums, hospitals, and campuses. 18.21 Bitters, Atlanta-made bitters, syrups, and mixers, crafted for bar programs and retail shelves. And our joint venture with Monday Night Brewing, Atlanta-born brewery and distillery products in markets across the Southeast.
Each partnership strengthens the next. The standards built in one room travel to the next one, and the operating system underneath them all keeps its eye on what matters: the founder’s brand, delivered at institutional standard.
